Some links on michigan.id are affiliate links: if you buy or book through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This disclosure follows the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance that material connections be disclosed clearly and conspicuously.
Which links are affiliate links
- Amazon: product links on the Store page go to Amazon search results through our Amazon Associates tag. We have not tested specific products.
- Travel partners through CJ Affiliate: partner banners and buttons labeled "Compare on Booking.com" or similar on the Hotels, Flights and Things to Do pages.
- Not affiliate links: official government and operator links (State of Michigan agencies, Michigan transit agencies, NOAA, Michigan Tourism) and Google Maps / Google Flights search shortcuts.
How links are labeled
Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored" in the page code and appear near a disclosure or a "Sponsored" or "Partner" label. A short disclosure appears in the footer of every page.
What this does not change
- We do not rank areas, products or providers by commission.
- We state trade-offs and who an option is not for.
- We do not present paid placement as an independent recommendation.
- We do not guarantee prices, availability or outcomes; partners set them.
